On 27 August 1782, Genlis writes to Monsieur Mayer acknowledging receipt of a book and mentions that a new edition of Adèle et Théodore is to appear in a few days. In a brief note, in English, ca. 1800 to Monsieur le chevalier de Gerningham [Jerningham], Genlis arranges to go to breakfast with him.
